Before check in

Are your liquids, aerosols and gels 100ml or less?

Liquids, aerosols and gels are anything you can pour, smear or spray eg: water, eye make-up, antiperspirant.

CHECK IN

Put anything larger than 100mls or items you do not need for the flight, or are unsure about, in your check-in luggage.

There are no new restrictions on what you can pack into your check in luggage.

CARRY ON

If you want to take items through the screening point make sure:

  • these are in containers of 100ml or smaller.
  • all items fit in one small, clear, resealable plastic bag (1 litre volume or 20cm x 20cm max.) in your carry-on baggage. From Wednesday 1st of May 2024 for international flights only, you will no longer be required to remove these liquids, aerosols or gels - 100ml or under for security screening. These can now be left in your carry-on hand luggage when you go through the security screening area.
  • only one bag per person is allowed.

Prohibited carry on items

  • Firearms and guns (including replica toys guns and BB guns)
  • Pointed edge objects (including razor blades and scissors)
  • Blunt instruments (including sports equipment such as cricket bats and didgeridoos)
  • Explosives/inflammable substances (including replica explosive devices)
  • Chemical and toxic substances
